My feature film is in development
My feature documentary, The Things I Wasn’t Taught, follows Matthew Temitope Solomon, aka StarboyBMX—a Lagos mechanic who taught himself BMX, drifting, and how to build things from scratch.
It’s been a while. I have been working on a story that means a great deal to me.
My feature documentary, The Things I Wasn’t Taught, follows Matthew Temitope Solomon, aka StarboyBMX—a Lagos mechanic who taught himself BMX, drifting, and how to build things from scratch.
The film has been selected for the MIA 2026 Doc Co-Production Market in Rome. It’s an exciting step forward for a story I believe deserves to reach far beyond its beginnings.
I am also building CineTide, my new production company, where we’re developing this and other African stories for international audiences.
We’re looking to connect with co-producers, funders, brands, broadcasters, distributors, and partners who believe in what we’re building.
If this resonates with you or someone you know, I would love to talk.
More soon.
